Who We Are

Schattenbaum is a Central/Southern New Jersey PCA Region that prides itself on the variety of activities offered to its members.  With over 500 members, our region encompasses the Princeton New Jersey area south through the Delaware Valley and includes most of southern New Jersey to the Delaware border.

The region was formed in 1973 by members of a race team who all owned Porsches.  This team was high on enthusiasm, however low on funds, and thus chose the name “Shade Tree Racing” to describe their situation.  The new region took this name, which in German translates into Schattenbaum
